Production Tips
Video production tips to improve the look and quality of your vacation videos.
- Edit in the camera by turning your camera off after each 8-10 second scene. This will give you a quick pace, will be more visually interesting and a lot more fun to watch.
- Close-ups always make for a better image. Lots of close-ups of faces, fish and whatever your subject is for your video will make it much stronger.
- Keep the sun behind the camera for better lighting on what you are filming.
- Use the sound capabilities of your camera if you can.
- Have a plan in mind before you start shooting and then stay on plan to completion
- When showing a fish that has been recently caught, always hold the fish horizontally and reach them toward the camera.
- Keep your camera in a water proof bag and remember to bring it whenever you are in the boat.
- Add music if you can. It will add a lot!
